Mandiant is being acquired by Google for all cash. Existing mandiant stock that anyone holds will be converted to cash as well at a specific price. RSUs will be converted to cash at the existing vesting time lines as well. All Mandiant employees will sign new contracts with Google when the acquisition completes. My question is, other than the existing RSU/cash conversion, are the mandiant employees signing contracts with Google expected to get NEW Google RSUs as well? Or is it likely that nothing of that sort will happen. How do these things usually go? TC: 240K YOE: ~8 #google #mandiant #acquisitionscience
I really hope you are right about "All Mandiant Employees". Those of us who are not security (infra etc...) are worried.
I sympathize with you. The acquisition could end up not benefiting everyone equally. I hope that all of us will be fine, but realize that may not be the case. With a company as large as Google, I’d expect if an employee is not extended an offer, then they’d be given an opportunity to interview with different teams so they can transition somewhere else. I’ve heard about interviewing after acquisition and wondered if that is the scenario.
>> are the mandiant employees signing contracts with Google expected to get NEW Google RSUs as well? Yes. Each employee will get a new role/position within Google. Usually, most acquired employees have to individually go through google interviews. This will help with leveling. Google can even choose to not take on some poor performers. Additional retention grants with varying cliffs (1-2 years) are common to motivate them to stay longer.
wdym interview? like they've to LeetCode to retain their employment?
So far there has been no mention of reinterviewing once we get officially acquired.
