I quit Google last year (about 6 months after I relocated from a city to another). And now Google is asking me to repay the cash bonus for my relocation. Do I have to do it? Would love to hear some suggestions. Thanks! 🙏 #relocation #bonus #repay

You have to. I paid over 10k to quit amazon
Isn't the standard contract 1 year stay or you have to pay it back? So yes you do if it's standard. Read your employment agreement
Take care of taxes. As bonus would have been given post tax
Don’t pay it. Had same thing happen to me and told them to pound sand. They know they’ll spend more in legal fees than the money you’d pay back.
Wouldn't they blacklist you if you do this?
Also they could just send the debt to collections and ruin your credit
Dm me! I have gotten away with this

The employment contract says that the bonus is repaid if the employee terminated their contract within 12mo, but that it will be prorated. Did you sign a contract accepting the re-lo offer?
Don't pay. Move to Guatamala. Shave your head. Change your name. Start a new family.
Did you sign any contract before you got the bonus ? Any internal policy that states you have to pay back ?
I would assume they wouldn’t invest in a move without a minimum commitment to the company.
Of course there would be a contract. It's a standard addendum to the offer letter.
