Google compensation for 2.5 yoe

I have a call with my onsite recruiter at Google tomorrow. She stated in the email that she wants me to have an idea of what my salary expectations are. They didn’t ask me this last year when I interviewed. What should I say? What’s the max Google would be willing to offer me assuming I do well on interviews and have competing offers. 2.5 yoe - 1 year at Facebook.

My previous recruiter couldn’t answer the question of whether or not I’d be considered for an L4 or L3 role. I think my onsite recruiter will answer this tomorrow.

that determines your comp band.

Use paysa. Levels.fyi doesn't have enough info

Never give a number. No matter what. Standard answer is market rate. They will try very hard to squeeze a number out of you. Only provide a number when countering.

Google MKCF12 Apr 25, 2019

Just give them top of market. Easy

If u have a good idea of the band it’s a waste of time to withhold a number. Anchor high
