An ex employee of Google revealed on Twitter/X that he was not promoted due to DEI quota. He is a white male. He was informed by his manager (I presume) that he is not promoted even though he was a great performer because of quota. https://x.com/shaunmmaguire/status/1760872265892458792?s=20 https://x.com/shaunmmaguire/status/1760885099984261564?s=20 #tech #google # dei #gemini
Now imagine all people who didn't even find out that this was the reason for not getting a promo
Seems possible. Seen mediocre black or latinx women being promoted over deserving candidates. Wokeness 🤡
Wtf is latinx
Everybody crying reverse racism welcome to the world of bipoc, women, minorities you mofos.
How so? If you are a "bipoc" (lol), all you have to do is show up. You have also never been denied a job because of your race. White men have and continue to.
Entitled, white men are the reason aliens won’t visit. Would be fun to see your panties bunched when a person of color is president again. Maybe Nikki Haley draws the trump card after all.
Man I m thinking of changing my pronouns
If it were true, he could name names.
r/persecutionfetish is strong in here
More likely his conservative views were off putting and not a good cultural fit.
In my life this has always been said by racist people, they say this when any black person passes them, there is no evidence it was DEI, but they just see a black oerson in a position of power and assume it’s DEI that got them there because they are racist. This is classic racism, I have experienced it many times.
Yup!

This dude's Twitter gives James Damore vibes. Highly doubt that there was ever a DEI quota for promotions. DEI at Google is more subtle. You might get more chances to pass our interviews/more benefit of the doubt. You might be hooked up with a great L+1 or L+2 mentor, which are in short supply. You might get a no-fail/highly impactful/high reward project without having to work your way up, gain trust and tenure as much as others. But none of this says that such a DEI candidate didn't do the work and meet the bar for promo. They just might get better or faster access to opportunities. And distribution of opportunity is always unfair. To get a promo at higher levels, you need to be skilled + lucky to get the opportunity and skilled + lucky to land it well.
All of this is still deeply unfair
Yup, I stopped reading his posts when he mentioned Tucker Carlson in loving tones. Yeah, he’s whiter than his tighty whities. He’s pro Israel and anti Palestine. I have nothing againt Pro Israel, just don’t be hating on an entire nation. Not everyone in Palestine is Hamas yer sh*thead. 🙄🤦🏻
