Savings from cloud adoption!
No enterprise customers with GCP, this was coming
It hasn’t even been a year yet.
Year for what?
If you read carefullly they are not firing them yet, they are trying to merge them into internal groups
What could the reasons be?
Explains why headcount suddenly dried up last fall and has yet to recover.
GCP somehow atleast to me seems always to be in the corners...
Google's cloud products in comparison to AWS and Azure are embarrassingly mediocre. I don't understand their strategy, we maintain AWS and Azure accounts for various services and every once in awhile we check Googles equivalent products and all we can say is "are they even trying?"
Please explain. What products are these?
Storage, compute space, key management solutions. They either don't have it or have it available that is inflexible or overpriced. My opinion is they want you to buy resources under their umbrella exclusively so enterprise docs, drive. I can deploy anything in AWS or Azure, we've containerized legacy applications that were running on 15 year old hardware to where we're paying the x cents a month for what we actually use. Don't even get me started on quality of support. Our Azure account has a TAM available during business hours phone/email/teams. Have you experienced Google support? Please click our support link...
Why is GCP hiring lot of folks from Oracle?
Why is this news? Companies change projects all the time.
