Google gTech gPS Engagement Manager Position

Writing this post as there isn't much information about gTech, gPS or the EM role on here. So helping out fellow job seekers to understand more about this group at Google and my recent interview experience. Please note - This is completely my experience and my views. As most of the reviews/feedback on here, I have experienced the same loooong waits after my interviews for the feedback. ********Interview Structure****** Everything was similar to what it would have been for a Google Program Manager interview. I even got the same handout for this role. All the interviewers were pretty chill and relaxed. I wanted it to be conversational like EM positions at consulting firms, but I guess Google has their set of questions. But none the less a pretty good experience. 1st Round - Phone Interview with the Solution Consultant. 2nd Round - 3 Onsite Interviews with 2 Head of Engagement Management and a Lead Architect (as this role involves lot of stakeholder management). ********Question Types****** The questions itself were very specific to the role of Engagement Manager - Working with Clients, Working with different internal/external stakeholders, day to day on helping clients, meeting expectations, very much stressed on using HISTORICAL DATA to resolve any current issues (so that the data driven approach in this case), cognitive questions, scenario based questions, a small case study, lots of Tell me about the time when... - Do you have any experience in the Ads industry? ******About gPS and gTech******* From what I could gather from the interviews gPS (gTech Professional Services) is something in the works to be a professional service like the cloud. They are still trying to establish it as professional services (not my words). The team I interviewed for was supporting the Google Ads services and I believe most the gTech does the same. Clients in this role are Publishers who want to make money using Google's Ads platform. Since you are supporting the client, the needs of the client are to be met by working with the cross functional teams. If you are coming from consulting experience with technical background and experience, this could be the role for you. Happy to help and answer any questions if you are going through the process for the similar role. YOE - 6y TC - 150K PS - I am waiting on the results for the onsite interviews while writing this post. #Google #gPS #gTech #googleinterview #EM

Thanks! Hard to say, I am gonna wait & keep following up for a month, before I give up hopes. Your role sounds like supporting engagements specifically. If that’s something you want it could be good. And you could always look for opportunities internally to find a better match once you join.
