Google hiring committee - expected compensation

I have been interviewing with Google and got to the point where my packet is going to be submitted to the hiring committee. My recruiter asked me to fill out a form with a lot of resume type info and my expected comp. My question...is there any downside to being aggressive with the number I put here? Will they reject me because of this number, or would they just adjust the offer? considering going about 40% above current tc as a starting point...good idea? Bad idea? 10+ yoe
