Let’s see how high the rank could be to fail the coding round. Last week I was around 1000 so 5%. Actually when the last one was really hard and only 200passed that , my ranking was even higher like 3% although I did make the last hard one. My best is within 1%. Yet I still failed Google on-site multiple times and never made it. I wonder whether people better than me failed it miserably too ( even multiple times).
1900 rated on codeforces, failed 2 times
What does that mean? How good is that?
But how? Did you start the interview by insulting your interviewer or something?
I suck at Leetcode, hardly can solve mediums
You get Google?
No. I get Apple 🍎 though. And now Apple > Google :)
I solved like a total 20 problems before interviewing. Not sure why the need for such a crazy effort.
Because some interviewers at your company decide to ask questions that are near impossible to solve without knowing the approach beforehand. Koko eating banana is probably the most infamous one. But same goes for any company really. Your very own Steve Yegge wrote a blog post about the “anti loop”: http://steve-yegge.blogspot.com/2008/03/get-that-job-at-google.html?m=1
I had Google friends til me it was all luck they got in
Have 107 LC done most easy passed first try, starting in Aug
Can you do those hard?
I encountered many hard which appeared later on LC to be hard
A lot of it is luck bro. Depends on interviewers’ moods, the random problems that they pick, your physical/mental conditions on that day, etc; all the stars have to align.
I don’t believe that. I believe in LC ranking more
I actually encountered some very hard problems during interview with Google.
My contest rating is probably much lower than that. There are many other factors at play besides purely coding the problem.
Why the F are you posting this spam everywhere. GTFO. Flagged
i know a few who rank consistently below 30% and got offer at Google. It's just luck and timing tbh
30% is only first two easy ones
How much does timing play in your opinion?
Coding is only one part of the interview
