What’s the feedback loop to calibrate and coach Google interviewers since they won’t meet other interviewers on the loop and the HC? An extreme eg, can an interviewer write up inaccurate feedback that’s made up to NH someone due to bias? They don’t have to defend/explain it to anyone. TC: $350 YOE:8
You get some shadow rounds with another calibrated interviewer, and then you are on your own. Your feedback is taken with a grain of salt until you have done many interviews. If you always skew a certain way, it will be obvious from your rating statistics. If you just dislike somebody and tank them, your rating might be the outlier. Previously, such an outlier might kill a candidate's chances, but hiring committees are more lenient now.
I interviewed for a manager position at google and the interviewer asked me a very tough design question during the phone interview, where I thought will focus on my leadership skills, is that always the case?
@google, thanks for the insights. Do recruiters and/or HCs look at interviewer rating statistics? Who’s job is it to pay attention to the statistics?
