Rest and vest culture will kill the company. They also flaky as fuck and can’t commit to a product. The Google application grave yard is massive and GCP will be another addition soon. Their lack of results shows they can’t compete against AWS with a rest and vest culture. Nobody wants to do business with them no matter how “high” their “bar” is. Also the high bar and low pay has been pushing talent away from Google making their situation even worse.
Few companies don’t use AWS for a number of reasons and GCP is far better than Azure for AI & Machine Learning. GCP is here to stay
I don't mind learning either as long as I get into Google tbh. 🤣
There is no rest and vest.. it all gone. I just joined a month ago from Amazon and I am working crazy hours I didn’t even get chance to finish my orientation!!!
Dunno wtf you're talking about. Have you worked at Google?
Sounds like someone is jealous 😂
All of google is built upon gcp, so you can say gcp is the biggest cloud provider on earth even if they have zero external customers. Google can afford to fail at products, if they don’t try they will never succeed, and even if they fail it’s a good write off for taxes.
All of Google is definitely not on GCP. Have you worked at Google?
But their stock is 📈📈📈
Pick anything other than GCP and I would have agreed
Google's business model is such that it does not need people to work very hard to show considerable revenue growth, expect for cloud division. For advertising revenue, since they have sophisticated systems and tools already for advertisers, they just need to turn the dial of the ad-load on the pages and videos. This is what they are doing google search, YouTube search pages and YouTube videos. More and more ads being shoved down our throat instead of growing a new category of groundbreaking products and services. Again, none of this is applicable for Google cloud, for that they will have to work their ass off to continuously pump new services and build sales capabilities.
It's pretty incredible, huh? I finally got a YouTube premium account. I would have guessed the number of ads would hurt retention, but we are all good addicted
Feels like someone just got rejected from Google. Welcome to the club
