Ask away (for people looking at Google L4 or below)
Do you interview at Google. If yes, do you really care about what's on the resume? Or just check how good a candidate is with DSA (system design you don't ask I guess) and googlyness??
1. I've interviewed in the past though I am not doing it any more (just got promoted last cycle ha). Will begin again shortly. 2. I think the resume is more important to get past the HR screen. I usually only look at the resume to figure out a few points for small talk at the beginning or end of the interview (and if it's a new grad or intern who hasn't worked for a Leetcode company before I'll give them my quick spiel about whiteboard interviews that people often screw up) 3. In general any interview feedback you give needs to be supportable by the interview transcript you write, so even if I'm very impressed by the resume (and people applying for Google L4 or L3 usually have never done anything particularly impressive, so this rarely applies) I can basically only use that info to sort of round up ratings that would have been in the middle. I refuse to do Googleyness interviews so yeah I just do DSA.
