Google promotion rejected
My promotion is rejected this cycle, the feedback is “all are good, just need consistent performance during the next cycle”. IMO there is no real feedback as no improvement area is suggested. Also what do they mean by “consistent performance”? I already get a SEE last cycle, there is no rating this cycle because of the new GRAD system, but I doubt I won’t get a SEE if there is rating for this cycle. Aren’t two SEEs consistent performance and why do I need another SEE for promo just from L3 to L4?

"Consistent Performance" is the bullshit reason we get at Amazon for rejected promos too.

It's one of those situations where they want to see you performing at the next level for an arbitrary length of time. It's stupid, but unfortunately common

What is SEE? Anyway, hang in there. I know it sucks, but just 6 months to a year more I guess? In the long run it doesn't matter. Hang in there and don't let this bother your peace of mind.

You don’t. You just ended up in a terrible team or with terrible people. If you can get it next time, just stay and get it cause you will for sure.

It’s just bad luck, it’s not you. If it won’t hurt staying, stay. Cause they can’t deny promo a third time when being SEE. If it kills you to stay, then change teams asap. And find a manager who’ll help you get a promo.
