Anyone work for Google public sector? Curious what your experience has been? Is there a lot of room for growth? I know the business in public sector is still such a small footprint so I wasn’t sure if they really don’t make much revenue which impacts yearly bonuses and refreshers
Dysfunctional, unforgiving, political, mismanaged, disorganized, oppressive. Management cares more about managing appearances and appeasing SLT more than the growth of individuals. I wouldn't be surprised if they come to Blind to solicit how people actually felt with posts like these since the org is scattered remotely and there exists no psychological safety. Actions have spoken louder than words.
What team were you a part of in public sector? I start with them in the next few weeks. Can I shoot you a dm to talk about your experience? That's not encouraging. Did you happen to get refreshers while at pUblic sector?
Sure, I wasn't like this last year but the experiences since have been very revealing
