I was interviewed by hiring manager for 45 minutes through Google Meet 4 days ago. I received the below message from the recruiter yesterday and would like to know what it means, whether it’s a rejection or I proceed to onsite. “I hope you've been well and have been having a great start to your New Years! I am reaching out as I've just heard back from the hiring manager, XXX, regarding the recent interview you've had. Can you share some times you're free to chat to discuss feedback/next steps?” Update: Rejection. Apply again in 6 months. #google
If you failed, it will just be an email.
Hardware roles have an HM round, right ?
This was a screening interview by the hiring manager.
Was this a domain round? Did he ask questions from your CV as well as the JD ? Or was it a generic DSA round?
Probably passed, but just relax and wait for the meeting you can't change anything now either way.
Hey do you know when are openings in each team decided for each quarter in Google? Are there swe L3 openings at G India?
Your poll is broken. The message is designed to convey no information about the status of your candidacy and there's no option for that.
I made the post for insights such as yours. Thanks
Blind polls are a pet peeve of mine. Good luck to you. Hope it's good news.
The email I got from a recruiter back in the day from Google was ”We need to talk.” When we did talk over the phone, I was given an offer, so I wouldn’t read too much into these emails…
Use your brain. If you failed, would recruiter waste more of their time talking to you

Reply that you haven't heard back. It's not your job to orchestrate the interview process
