Does anybody know about the re-hire policy for ex-googlers ? Do you have to re-do interviews if you were gone for a long enough time ?
Yes, you have to go through the entire process again as if you were an external candidate.
I think if it's within 1y, maybe 2, you can ship interviews
I heard Google brings you back at same level if you come back within 3 years. True?
I've heard that within 1y it's no interviews and you pick up your comp exactly from where you left it, with unvested stock and everything. No idea if it's really true, but I've heard it often enough that it probably is.
Within 1 year makes sense. Being away for more than 2 and coming back with all the same stuff doesn't make sense to me.
