RIP Google Core Employees replaced with Mexico and India Workers
I’m having a hard time getting through to a real person at Google and Microsoft even with referrals. I really believe Im a strong candidate. Even linkedin taunts me with “youre a top candidate” for these positions. Can anyone suggest any way I can make myself stand out more? Education, certifications, career progression, measurable achievments all on point and shown in resume. Just venting I guess but its getting frustrating. This is for Solutions Architect, TAM, TPM type roles current TC 110 YOE: 6
Contact HR folks on LinkeidIn or ask a friend for a referral. If you don't know anyone, go to local events and mingle.
Referrals are worthless. You have to find out who the hiring manager is.
Same happened to me on 2 separate occasions with a referral. They basically said to gain more experience as there were more qualified applicants :(
Ha, more qualified applicants, I’ve seen idiots get jobs I applied for and smart people get passed over. Recruiters are lazy, they barely read anything. I started having luck when I used an online formatting for my resume. A few icons and colors goes a long way. Exact same job history.
Microsoft would you mind pointing me to those online formatting websites?
