Google is doing everything it can about diversity without sacrificing hiring. At this point the problem is not Google but before Google.. crappy public schools for minorities, cycle of poverty, no health care, legacy of slavery, crime, gun violence, desperation, a shitty society that somehow scares girls away from math. But these problems are too hard to address so might as well say DAE GOOGLE EVIL amiright?

I remember reading somewhere that Alphabet execs control more than 50% of the vote, so really, it's the execs that voted for that.
Give it 20 years when the US is majority minority and no one works for Goog or uses their products because they haven't adapted to attract the right talent and market
@Suds WTF do you think diversity does? It has positive impacts when natural but not when forced through discrimination. Many talented minorities (myself included) would prefer to work at a company that rewards merit and not race/gender.
How does diversity benefit for example a payroll accounting team? How does diversity help in real estate and facilities management ?
Payroll needs expertise in muticultural mathematics, and you obviously need a facilities manager who identifies as a physical plant.
