Google research / Netflix research / FB AI research interview setup ?

Hi blind community, I am preparing for research roles potentially aiming at google research , Netflix research , Facebook AI research and the like. Limited to no information is out there about the interview setup for these teams. Any info you can share would be greatly appreciated. No, Google has the highest bar (I know tons of people from all places).

Netflix does not do research, their team is a lot more applied. You should have strong publication credentials, strong understanding of modern AI and strong coding skills. Your TC will increase a lot if you can get one of those. Good luck!

Research lab usually requires starting with a job talk in the early morning, and then 7-20 rounds of conversation with individual researchers (1-2 days). There are usually only 1-2 rounds of coding. You have to have a clear vision of future exploration in your individual field, how to collaborate with colleagues (big part in your conversation); process is not too far from academic setting. (Since most of your future colleagues came from academics) Like other said, Netflix usually don’t publish thus more applied research.

7-20 rounds of conversation? sounds intense haha. Although it does make sense based on the few interviews I’ve had with research teams. Primarily conversational and lots of talk on projects, scenarios, etc. I’m assume coding is generally DSA?
