Hmm. Waiting for search to be shut down. Google is the next Yahoo!
What's the alternative? Yahoo?
Amazon will then come up with one. If you search for toxic people in it, it would display amazon.com instead as the first result.
How almost every Google project has failed… I thought streaming game was gonna big. Amazon has its own streaming gaming service. Netflix is building one. Google was a front runner but folded its business?
???? There are so many projects that fail because there are so many projects. Plenty of projects are very successful. Chromecast, Pixel, Tensorflow, Chrome, Flutter, Android, DeepMind, etc. Stadia was the like 8th attempt at doing this failing model. The tech was great, but that was never the problem.
Any of these started in the last 7 years?
Shame. I actually thought it was pretty good.
There is no appetite for risk in this company anymore. Stadia (and studios) was a long term play with short term results determining its fate.
How much of the long term was stunted by the problems at launch.
Feels like at this point. They should just M&A existing successful startup that follows similar pattern to their own idea instead of trying to innovate on their own. They don't seem to have the risk appetite and patience of a startup
Barring google search everything else is a failed enterprise.. may be gcp is ok types
Gmail and maybe Google assistant are pretty good. I think the jury is still out on GCP.
Called it, lol.
Anything that is remotely tied to hardware at Google seems to be destined for failure.
Did you know we have employee-only hardware like dLight and headphone? They are great product but Google is not selling them outside
Why are they employee only? And what makes them great when compared to other commercial products?
Sad. Imagine the manhour that went into creating Stadia. Wasn’t a fan of it but thought it was pretty cool technologically.
There is a lot of human labor goes to nowhere - think manual laundry People still need to do something ☺️
Area 120 part 2?
