Hi: Looking for some advice around team match at google. I am at the team match stage with google now and hr start to sent teams that are interested in me. Background in front end and some backend works as well. Here are some teams that have shown interest: 1. Google search quality team(area in ml + data a analyst) little or no front end work. 2. YouTube live( sth I am interested) but they are looking for full stack for mobile engineer(the hr said they are looking for someone know front end stack and work on backend end, but have to learn mobile works, only done school work on mobile) 3. Google geo enterprise: Map and will on front end for map features in cloud console.(This seems to be best fit for my experience but I feel there is no competition in map for google and work might be boring) 4. Google search team, help to improve search experience. Looking for people from those team to learn more about the work impact, promotion, wlb, politics, culture, and career growth? And then decide which team to have the team match call. PS heard YouTube org is great and if I wait more there should be more head counts open. Should I keep waiting and see if more teams will show interest in me? I know I can ask hr to set up the call with them and learn more, but if a team wants me then I need to make decision soon and afraid of losing opportunities to work on a more interesting team or project. My recruiter is within YouTube org. I am told I can do team match within YouTube or other google team. No separate interview was mentioned.
How long did it take for you to receive this after you got the project search stage mail?

Just actively speak with managers and give your feedback if you like that line of work or not. More headcounts opening up or not doesn’t mean that the managers would be interested in your profile
