Rofl what a bunch of wallapers. Again it shows that companies will pay you the minimum they can get away with. They are bankig some people would be ok with it. Hope enough people leave that they rollback on it.
It sounds like the cuts are only for the base salary? It's a 15% difference between 185k and 160k; I'm absolutely not moving from WA to CA for a 15% raise of base! If you get 150k extra in RSU, then the difference is just 8%, just about what you'd spend on state income tax alone. Hasn't this calculator been announced a while ago? Can anyone share any results from it?

Steal of a deal! 75% of the pay but you can live somewhere with 50% (or lower) cost of living.
Also remember if you take tax into perspective, what you really lose is only (your pay cut)*(1-your marginal tax rate)
But if you live frugally, it's better not to work remotely.
