Got two offers. Meta is more pay, but not really sure which one to pick right now. Both comps are averaged out rsus over 4 years. Wlb on the google team seemed more chill compared to meta (just from talking to the teams). Not sure if the extra 200k is worth it for meta. The amount of each component isn’t exact as I don’t want to dox myself, but the overall tc is accurate. TC: ~650k L7 at Amazon
Congratulations 🎉, Yoe? BS, Master, PhD?
Thanks!
15yoe. Just a bs. Amazon yoe is 8.
Having worked at both as L6 my take is, Google L7 is far more prestigeous and you will work with a lot higher quality people. I would take Google anytime.
Mind sharing the refresher amounts at google for l7? Recruiter gave me wide ranges for some reason.
From what I've heard ~300K vesting at 25% over 4 years.
I’m just happy to see 0 votes for amazon.
Please this is Amazon we are talking about
If Albertsons was on the list, it woulda had 100% of votes
Hi can i dm u for systems design questions?
Ic or manager?
Didn't both of them layoff 10s of 1000s of employees? I don't get why do people want to work at shitty companies?
I would never want to work at a company that doesn't do layoffs
Cool. Enjoy getting laid off and free stress associated with the same.
Good to see such msgs in Blind after long gap.. perhaps tech job market is recovering!
Insane how much you can make when you get years of experience as a staff engineer (even tho at Amazon the bar is huge) For how long have you been a L7?
How long l7 at Amazon?
Whichever you choose, all the best. Awesome offers. Want to be jealous but can't , the offers are so commendable. Well done.
The interviews weren’t nearly as bad as I thought. A lot less focus on coding and more sys design and domain knowledge.
How many rounds of system design & coding ?
