I wouldn’t leave Google for any startup, no matter how proven the leadership is or how good the product is. However, I’m heavily biased against startups and if you’re incredibly passionate about the product then it may be worth the move if you can gain some domain experience and work your way up the ladder. It’s a high-risk, high-reward approach, but I would aim for companies who are pre-IPO or one step before that and nothing earlier. With that being said, I heavily believe that you’re better off staying at Google. Good luck, OP! TC: 105K
Startups are tempting but it’s only 1/10 or so that have exits…and worse you won’t know till years down the road. Meanwhile at G the path to a larger TC is tried and true. Only reason to join a startup is if they have a moat and you are passionate about the use case

which org is google under?
The two offers are not even comparable to your current Google comp.
I guess the time is so bad that you are even considering these offers
I wasn't seriously considering but gave interviews after seeing my friend at Stripe cashing out millions...
Was it through liquidating event or something? Stripe’s valuation has been slashed recently, so I suppose they joined in early stages. I mean some people do get lucky, but statistically it is indeed a gamble to join early stage startups
Most startups can’t go over $200k base. If you can live on $170k TC and enjoy the work, go for it. Also, can you relocate to some place cheaper? If not, Google is king here.
You might as well bought NVDA lottos today instead of betting on 10x startup exit over next 4 years.
You’ll have better chance of 10x if you spend the 120k from your Google money to buy lottery tickets
