I read recently that Google will prioritize the domain knowledge over leetcode. However, people from top schools and some very smart people in the industry will lose to Infosys/TCS guys who focus entirely on one domain throughout their entire career. Community colleges also focus on domain knowledge unlike Algorithms at MIT. The quality of candidates will suffer dramatically.
What do you mean by domain knowledge. Particular tech stack?
?
Why would quality suffer? If they are looking for something specific and those candidates are better at that specific thing, aren't they getting what they are looking for?
Low IQ people who are domain experts. Cannot adapt themselves to changing condictions. That is why theoretical MITian has an edge over practical Community College guy.
Low IQ, domain experts, pick one You just seem bitter that big tech is starting to realize big university names are meaningless. Universities like MIT have survived on their name for too long despite teaching no practical skills. In many cases big universities don’t teach at all and community colleges actually do a better job teaching
What you read is bullshit
You sound like an ignorant leetcode monkey
What will change?
Community colleges focus on domain knowledge?? What are you smoking
Yes. They teach front end, web dev, SQL, Oracle, etc. Not algos, DS, theory of computing.
I can believe that specific courses are offered, but data structures and the like are needed for transferring. They are taught.
You’re right, we should do the same even in sports as well. Those players should know how to leetcode, else the quality of the team will drop.
Domain knowledge in large AI models, datacenter-scale resiliency, reinforcement learning for chip design, and high-performance ambient computing.
Man you've no idea what you're talking about.
Can you shed some light? Rumors start and some of those do come true.
