Googles future likely mirrors Microsoft

Googles Search == Microsoft Windows. On this premise google has the same dilemma that other public companies have: chatgpt and others are disruptive but google shareholders will want returns and won’t accept stock declines. Revenue pressure wins. So google will go the way of Microsoft from leading the innovation to building tools and tech atop it. They’ll keep search, add some features but will have to chase consumers and “free” tech from their ecosystem to maintain attention. Just like Msft has done very successfully.
