Got 2 rejections today - need mental advices.
I got pip from Square 2 months ago and have been out of states for visiting my family. I have been interviewing with Disney, Tinder and Indeed for Senior Android position. Got Indeed rejections and Tinder hiring freeze notice (probably a polite way to reject) today :(. They all dont use leetcode style in their process but I still failed. Asking for feedbacks seems not possible. I am feeling like I am doing bad because I have interviewed over midnight to early mornig or maybe I am just doing bad. Old tc: 200k (joined Square at all time high) New tc: 0k.
It's more about market conditions and there's a bias against candidates not currently working
That makes sense. I know there are tons of people got laid off recently.
Are you in visa? If not, just move to moms basement and brute force interviews to success.

I don’t believe they do. People on here have begun to use fired and PIP’ed interchangeably. If you don’t do your work, you’re gonna get canned — PIP or no PIP. Every company has some form of documentation to cover themselves before they want to fire you, some just have formalized names for the process. That said, PIP culture vs non-PIP culture is huge, so I wish Blinders would stop using the term to describe every job loss.
Take some time to prepare better. Try to think back what you could have done differently and brush up on that. Do some leetcode. Do some mock interviews online. Then try again in a few weeks with another company. Something will pan out eventually.
