Thanks. Yes I was stressed for several years. Never got h1b but was on o1. Never switched jobs and PIP factory ruined my life and was on antidepressants by end of year. I changed jobs after GC and life has become better now and finally got a good pay raise. Fuck PIP factory!
Really !!!!!! Struggling to get h1b here. Have big loans + professional setbacks + single & 0 friends + 4500 in debt + have medical issues taking anxiety pills
Trust me I understand. I lost h1b lottery 5-6 times. Got o1. I got Canadian GC as well but was lucky enough to get Eb1 GC for an Indian. Was always stressed because of visa situation, never bought a house or expensive car and even switched jobs. Switched job after GC.
When you lose your job then you'll find out how great it is to have a GC. What you're feeling isn't normal but hopefully you won't be in a situation where you find out
Yeah I am grateful that I haven’t lost my job yet. I just switched jobs without a break. So it is one job after the other. People take year break after few years but I can’t seem to able to come to it having a family and kid.

GC will not pay your bills. You thought you can be unemployed forever if you lose job just because you have GC? Do you think American citizens are not anxious about losing jobs?
We are all just numbers at the end of the day in corporate. No point worrying about job. Focus on what you control.
