I was approached by Equitybee on Linkedin, they offered to liquidate a portion of my Flexport shares in return for a share in the potential future IPO. They are asked if I have friends at Flexport who still work there. Apparently, they have a high demand for Flexport. Did anyone go through the process of share liquidity through Equitybee? To my understanding, it's different from their option exercise funding offers. #ipo #Flexport @Flexport
What are they offerings
I uploaded all the documents for verification, now I'm waiting for the terms.
Selling 15 $ or more makes sense
Can u share more details
Sent dm, would like to learn more
I'm still in the process, let me know what you found out please.
I have stock options, not RSUs.
I bought $50k of Flexport shares at Equityzen around $9. They are now selling at $5.75 there 😌
How does it work? You sign a contract to transfer share ownership, then they pay you now. When Flexport goes IPO, you sell the shares and transfer them the money? Then you still owe taxes?
Tricky tricky, if you are selling them now you can probably 1099 them?
It is a forward contract, I'm still the owner of the shares, but in case of an IPO I will need to share a portion of the future gains I will get from the IPO.
