Hi everyone. Title is the jist of the backstory. I wanted to know what type of questions they would ask (both technical and behavioral). The recruiter did mention that they needed someone with lots of SQL knowledge and Python. Any sort of advice and help would be appreciated! Thanks! #interview #finance
Is this related to Oracle ERP ?
No doesn't seem like it... Especially from the job description
Which group do you know within KPMG?
I did consulting at kpmg for a position that required coding, applied as an associate. didn’t ask me any technical questions and only had 2 rounds of interview.
Oh really?! Yeah I had a meeting where they asked my familiarity with SDLC, SQL and etc with the recruiter and now next week it's with the hiring manager... What's the consultant role you were specifically applying for if you don't mind me asking? Because in case if it's the role I've also applied for this would make me relieved lol
I'm not incredibly familiar with this role, but I would assume basic DA/DS questions. I would brush up on basic data structure/Algo from leetcode and know slightly advanced SQL. I'm guessing you can probably expect Data analysis questions too
Ok I'll look into that, thank you!! 🙂
What group and or role is this for? If it's what I'm assuming (lighthouse data modeler), then your role on clients might be expected to take business data and logic and then translate into some sort of code. For example, I had a project where I had to build operational accounting and financial metrics into a SQL Server cube for display via Power BI. Id spend one day coding and the next day checking the calculations over with the accountant who did it for their job lol
Can you elaborate on what you mean by group? The role is consultant, digital transformation... Still unsure of the full details of the role but I just know it involves SQL and Python!
Basically it's what team within kpmg the role will roll up to. Said team (or practice) plays a big part in terms of the type of work you might be doing.
You asked this on fishbowl too didn’t you haha
OMG LOL don't expose me 💀 just trying to get advice from both sides
What does techno-functional even mean? I think you will be able to get better answers on fishbowl than blind. Good luck!
Lol I did and they were like "KPMG isn't a strong technical company so I doubt they'll ask anything technical" and I'm like ... Clearly they are if the recruiter said they would lmao... But thanks, maybe I'll try again there
Also techno functional means a hybrid between a technical consultant and a functional consultant (so both technical and non technical consultant)
