I have been working for oracle as SRE for past 8 months, manager seems to have personal problem with me and piped me last Friday. I have strong networking background with work exp of 4.6 years and looking to get referral on both networking and SRE side. Due to f1 visa status, i need to find new position within next 30 days. I would really appreciate referrals for above roles Tc: peanuts. #referral #oracle #juniper #paloaltonetworks #aws #google #vmware #equinix
Check out Salesforce I heard you get paid money to work some amount of hours without being an Oracle employee which is really the big oof here π DM me if you find and roles happy to refer
DM for VMware
Where are you based off?
What org in Oracle
See if you can get transferred to another team. Maybe even in your current org
No transfer allowed while on PIP
PIP is a long process. Why was the end a surprise for you
Something is wrong it seems but Blind can be forgiving and generous
How'd you manage to get PIP'd at Oracle? Did you forget to wear pants to work one day or something?
Your best bet is to find a new role within oracle. I am not sure how likely it is to find a new role with PIP. I was laid off from oracle in the 4th month of employment but I continued talking to managers for internal jobs via colleagues who were still working in my team

Which large tech companies you think will last 20+ years?
Don't you get 60 days on H1B? You don't need to have finished visa transfer process. You just need a receipt of transfer petition to join a new company. Technically, you wanna join a new company by 61st day from your last working day at oracle
F1 visa, did not even got h1b picked for first 2 attempts
I'm sorry to hear. Try negotiating the termination conditions with HR to allow more time. Like, if they owe you 2 paychecks, ask them if they can consider spreading it over 4 paychecks, so you can be on payroll, which means, you are in status. Most companies offer negotiation opportunities during termination/PIP conversations I think
