So? If we owe money to a hostile foreign government, which uses that money to fund terrorist groups....we need to pay it back? It was owed for decades, there was no pressing need to pay them billions of dollars. What would happen if we didn't pay? The world police would come arrest us?
I haven’t heard any bombs go off, yet. But part of me salivates at the chance to put Iran back into their shithole of a place.
I support regime change war against Iran, especially if done by a broad coalition of Sunni countries led by Saudi Arabia, European allies, and Israel who is constantly threatened by Iranian terrorism. Iran is the biggest threat to the world, and we’ve allowed their government to fund and support terrorism in the region for far too long. People are biased against “regime-change” wars because of Iraq and Afghanistan. But short sighted people forget that WWII was also a regime change war that changed Germany and Japan from genocidal regimes to relatively peaceful and productive countries. Iran is no different than pre-ww2 Germany, and I’d rather change its regime now before it acquires nuclear weapons (its leaders aren’t hiding their nuclear ambitions).
Is this the new right wing angle? Equate ww2 with any possible new wars? Tell me, who did Iran invade exactly? There isnt much parallel between Nazi Germany and Iran. It’s pretty far apart actually. We had a unilateral agreement with Iran which Trump and his dumbass base pulled us out of. Now we have to consider military options. Good job unchecked right wing rhetoric based on feelings.
We fought Germany because they would have potentially invaded us next. When we entered the war, the UK was clutching the wall to keep standing while their face was being bashed in. The Luftwaffen was running Daily bomber raids in downtown London
We should defend our bosses in Saudi Arabia.
We should start a new “change regime” war to add new country in the list of destroyed countries with humanitarian disaster, to increase base for ISIS and make out boses from Saudi Arabia happy
Of course Pentagon presented military options. America is the most prepared for war with Iran in all the histories.
It’s what we have to bring to the table. Nothing wrong with that.
Don’t worry. I’m sure his supporters will figure out ways to feel happy using our military to defend a country that attacked ours on 9/11. At this point, his supporters have performed far more impressive mental gymnastics than would be required for this.
