Indian brothers and sisters of blind, I think it’s high time we start some sort of a strike demanding a solution for green card backlog. Everyday thousands are pouring in through border, who get way better opportunities than us peasants. If we keep our heads down and do nothing this problem never goes away. To those who say go back to India, No, I like the life here, respect their culture and thankful to what’s been given to me, but, I want an equal opportunity as anyone else from any other country to lead an independent life here. I’m a law abiding tax paying citizen contributing to us economy What does it take to rally all Indians together to start this movement? Will you join the strikes? TC:175
I am in
I’ll dm you
Move to Canada 🇨🇦
No, too many issues in Canada. I’d rather move back to India.
Please do move back to India. :)
Flagged as irrelevant to topic. you should edit and change topic to India topic
Ok, thanks for doing the needful 🫡
The topic is relevant to visa. Nothing irrelevant here.
Your whole monologue falls apart when you consider that immigration is neither a right nor a privilege. US has limits on how many people can immigrate per year and thats what applies. Would you think on the same lines and give nepalis and sri lankan workers a path to indian citizenship just because they are working in india for many years? Dont ask of others what you wont do in your own country.
I moved out of India, so no longer control how others get treated in India. I live in America and I am asking for what’s missing here. By your logic, Israelis who get green card should first allow Palestinians live freely in Israel. Russians with green card must influence Russia to leave Ukraine etc etc.
Again immigration is not a right, nor a privilege. I will leave it there. There is nothing you can demand of the system which has its rules and policies it adheres to, for America's best interests. There are lots and lots of people clammering to come to US, so with a simple supply and demand thinking - you should understand why there is no need for US to make immigration even a little bit favorable for immigrants. You will get your benefit when your place in line comes to the front. Period.
So entitled. 🤦🏽♂️
Ok, your opinion is surely noted
As indians we aren’t united at all. So we can’t do anything. It’s every man for himself. That’s how we were brought up in a dog eat dog world in India. Competing in school. Competing for entrance exams. Competing for placements. Competing for jobs. For money for everything. But it’s never fair. You go somewhere and stand in line, and expect your fair time in the queue. But guess what , someone is going to bribe their way in. Someone else will cut their way in. Someone else will exploit a loophole. Someone will already be inside somehow. It’s crazy how many methods our people discover to exploit a system to get ahead. Even if they have time. We’re just brought up to take the easy way out if available. A lot of us say it’s cultural. I agree. It’s because from the beginning we’re used to employing lower caste people as domestic help in our homes. That makes us lazy. Standing in a line, anything that feels demeaning is to be exploited and moved ahead. We’re just incorrigible unfortunately. If god forbid our country becomes the most powerful in the world, we’re going to be a scourge on this planet. Our country is the most divided nation in the world. It’s divided into 2 billion pieces, every Indian for themselves.
It’s better to light a candle than to curse darkness. Cynical people are not good for any country. “We’re just incorrigible unfortunately. “ We’re just fine, relax and cheer up 😀
We’re not fine at all.
🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣 🤡🤡🤡🎪
I guess I don’t get why you think Indians are special. Why does the US need to bend the rules for you. Because there is a lot of you? I don’t think it’s a good reason. Never ceases to amaze how entitled visa holders become. I would love love LOVE to have the opportunity to move to another country and be paid significantly more than I’d be paid at home. I don’t know that I’d expect a GC or equivalent. You’ve been lucky to ride one of the greatest economic expansions and bull markets the US has seen in decades. That’s why you’ve been able to stay for so long. But no one ever said you’d be guaranteed GC, I think you should be grateful for the great run you’ve had. If you don’t like the stress of H1b then I’m sure you’re well aware of your other options.
Would you say the same to blacks who were slaves? And blacks who were treated different based on skin color?
OP this comparison is reaching and is exactly why most are saying you should leave. Comparing past slavery to your voluntary situation is quite disgusting and arrogant. No one is forcing you to stay in this country. Please take your entitlement elsewhere.
So you want to protest for a right that’s guaranteed to you by the US constitution? Ok.
The protest is to address the issues in legal immigration and fix the freaking loopholes affecting the locals and immigrants. The only winners here are the companies hiring and outsourcing work, us government with free social security and Medicare. Locals get shafted with outsourced work, immigrants get stuck in endless hope of settlement.
Illegal immigration keeps the unskilled labor supply and inflation low. What do you have to say about that? Country cap gives every country an equal number of employment based GCs. Not US’ problem that we are 1.4 billion plus and don’t have enough opportunities back home.
