What the fuck happened to Canada?
Yes I could have kept this in the PayPal private chat but wanted to share with everyone to keep the dialogue going on this as it's a serious matter. There are many of us internally that are still looking for answers to unearth how this happened. https://thehill.com/opinion/technology/3683460-paypal-just-gave-america-an-eerie-glimpse-into-the-future-theres-no-going-back/amp/
Wouldn't they be sued.
They want to do this to all the little guys who don't have the resources to sue. Billionaires don't use PayPal and aren't affected by $2500. Perhaps Elon should buy back PayPal too.
Imaging not uninstalling pay pall after this lol
Not a well thought out move I would say, the intentions weren't wrong though, there's only a little paypal can do to prevent fraudulent parties extracting money from customer, that decision making should be there somewhere, certainly not in PayPal, but somewhere from where we can validate fraudulent and normal parties
How about work with law enforcement on it? Oh right that same LE every woke person wanted to defund and replace with psychiatrists because "muh racism"
@Roblox I think that when patriot act came out, a lot of regulation was pushed to financial institutions for them to do things that law enforcement usually does.
I already don't use PayPal unless I have to. I never take payments or keep any money in there. They've been abusing users for decades, ever since the beginning of eBay. Do some searches and count how many accounts of PayPal freezing user accounts with no recourse.
Lame excuse and walk back by PayPal to do damage control.
Fuck PayPal and it's Marxist control policies. #VenmoFTW
Venmo is a subsidiary of PayPal
I think it's going to be very apparent how much these types of policies are hated when they start arbitrarily ruining lives based on perceived safety rather than law. These same companies feel immune from any violent attack because they are naive. Just wait, act like a government gets overthrown like a government.
Sellers can't just open a PayPal account and get paid uninterrupted anymore. KYC and KYB plus compliance are all performed to ensure the business is legit. Otherwise the sellers are capped at some rudimentary low figure that they can receive. A business account and the above processes are needed before they can get more
If it’s a huge misinterpretation and bad wording then who got fired? Because someone should be fired for being that incompetent. And, oh, you make a good argument but i call bs - you have a history of leftist bias and this is just another try at weaponizing a financial system
Great reset: you will say nothing and be happy
