Can someone from Google tell me what this org does and how it's viewed within Google?
they provide all the customer and user support, and have internal engineering to create and support their own support tools. nothing bad about it at all, and they're generally well respected. it's just not product engineering in the traditional sense.
GTech is not respected. gTech eng might be respected, but gTech... No. gTech included the former support arms of DoubleClick ads publisher-side, and advertiser-side (brands), Consumer Operations (e.g. support for Maps and Mail) and a few others. For those in the know, it was lame. Portions of gTech became Google Professional Services. Google Cloud PS and SE are a different org.
What is the salary range for an l4 position in gtech?
