I feel weird even asking this but here we go. I'm software engineer. I'm working on my own product right now but I'd like to take a job where I can work 1-2 hrs/day and still be useful to the company. So I searched for roles like "architect" or low level positions like Data Engineer. What companies would you recommend for this (banks, healthcare, anything else) ? Also what would you suggest to say on interview given that I have 20+ yrs of experience and was CTO of unicorn startup? Serious question :) Below hashtags of companies that I've marked as candidates. #adobe #albertsons #anaplan #autodesk #blackrock #broadcom #ea #expedia #experian #indeed #intuit #nike #oportun #salesforce #verizonmedia #visa #walmart #workday #yahoo
Actually if you were cto of a unicorn 1b+ company you should know better. Here's my two cents. You should look for architect roles. 1-2 of actual work + meetings.
Being CTO of unicorn is far from relaxing role I have to say. When you busy building complex stuff you're not researching market of shitty companies :)
I think google meant it as you should know the market by now
Google from my understanding
Definitely don't think architect, you will be in a lot of meetings as an architect, much more than 1-2 hours.
Ok. What roles would you recommend?
1-2 hours is very difficult unless you're an IC at a place with very low expectations if that makes sense. Data engineer at some F500 is a good shout. But realistically even full remote you'll probably end up doing a bit more.
Capital One if you don't mind low TC. I'm not sure my coworkers are alive half the time
Lmao
You can try HSBC as well. You can have multiple power naps in between.
Informatica
Amex
My perception of 🦄 startup CTOs has come down a couple notches after reading this post. 😆
Yeah, we're still humans believe it or not 😆
You clearly don’t want a job. Focus on your product.
Microsoft hands-down!
What roles/titles/teams would you suggest looking into?
Does this apply to Azure as well?
