Don’t hear much about Gusto on here but one of the larger private tech companies. How are they performing in this market? Any layoff risk or issues with valuation etc.? General view on their tech / product roadmap? Interested in non-eng role but finding it difficult to get a real sense for how they’re doing.
Not enough gusto
Slow pace, hiring freeze, spaghetti code, lots of people coasting, having lunch eaten by competitors like Rippling.
Still growing well, a bit less than forecasted but not by much in the scheme of things, hence hiring freeze for a bit. Valuation is IMO still reasonable looking at what’s happened with public comps this year and progress since last raise. The challenges in other posts are valid too.
Have they updated the valuation since the last fundraising round? Is it still $10B?
Loosing tons of talent. Founders seem immune to being influenced by anyone
Inexperienced leadership
