I understand, it depends on the team, but anyway, the whole Apple culture is quite similar. Is there really any grow for QA contractor? Is any sense to work there as a contractor for more, than one year, or start searching for another job?
Contacting at Apple is a bad idea.
I agree. But sometimes it's good to get them in Resume, what do you think?

Google “apple black site” to see how contractors at Apple are treated
I have a friend who started at Apple as a contractor and was hired to a permanent role. So that is possible.
I was a QA contract for FB and got FTE offers from apple and amazon a year later.

Contractors don't have access to other teams in Apple.
I was a contractor at Apple and got converted to FTE in 8 months. Was absolutely doable for me. Not much of a pain on converting interview
@Forty2 was your contract role got converted to FT or you switched the team?
I have a friend who started as a contractor at Apple and was then hired as a SWE. So it's possible.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Apple contractor jobs are generally the worst in terms of growth, work and even most basic human treatment.
