I’m thinking to move from LCOL to closer to a big city. In my opinion Orange County is way better than suburbs of NYC. Both places offer a bunch of talented people from around the globe, gateway to travel, etc. However OC has more chilly weather instead of hot and humid summers on East Coast, great nature, hills, sun, ski resorts and cool mountains. NYC is walkable city and good enough underground, and that is it. Change my mind. Or find a better place for me. The only alternatives come to my mind are San Francisco, San Diego or Boston. Also good options, however as expensive as OC but offering less options.
Orange County sux but go on ahead
Idaho/Montana
In what world does the OC have more chilly weather than the east coast during the summer? Have you actually been to California? Summers in Southern California are way hotter
Wat da fuk are you talking about. It is absolutely well known fact that summer on east coast including Big Apple is way worse than on west coast. NYC in July Daily high temperatures are around 84°F, rarely falling below 75°F or exceeding 92°F. The highest daily average high temperature is 85°F on July 21. Daily low temperatures increase by 2°F, from 69°F to 71°F, rarely falling below 62°F or exceeding 77°F. The highest daily average low temperature is 71°F on July 22. Irvine, CA in July Daily high temperatures increase by 2°F, from 78°F to 80°F, rarely falling below 73°F or exceeding 87°F. Daily low temperatures increase by 2°F, from 63°F to 65°F, rarely falling below 59°F or exceeding 69°F.
Irvine and other parts of the OC get warmer than 80 lol. I can tell you have never been there in the summer or early fall
What are your hobbies outside of work? I’ve lived extensively in both areas. CA better if you’re outdoorsy imo
TC or GTFO
OC if you enjoy drivers stalking you as you walk to your car leaving the parking lot.
Lol you think you will find LCOL in OC ? Heck even IE is HCOL! LCOL is Michigan or Montana or god knows what. Also TC or GTFO
Maybe eastern Montana.
Can you read?
