Has anyone gotten H-1B visa stamped at any country other than their country of citizenship or Canada or Mexico? Can you please share your experience?
Got mine stamped in Canada. Was a much quicker process that took about an hour including both biometrics and interview. Takes some time to find an appointment in Canada though.
I was thinking of this as well... But I'm worried what if they ask for more info or rejects it. Someone mentioned to me that you can still re enter in the US.. you don't need a stamped visa for that. Is that correct?
If u leave USA, you need a stamped visa on your passport before US customs allows you to enter
That's known. But I was told that Canada had this superpower.. (treaty) that allows you to reenter based on approved petition. That's what I was referring to.
I am looking for experiences neither in Canada nor in Mexico nor in their country of citizenship
Getting visa stamped in Canada/Mexico/Iceland/Russia is all same, no?
Canada and Mexico explicitly have a section on their us consulate website about stamping for TCN (third country nationals).. US consulates in other countries don't have such clear mentions. Even google searches regarding this, bring up experiences in only Canada and Mexico(most likely because they are bordering countries)
