A desi consulting wants to hire me and file h1 this April. What’s are the chances of h1 approval if I’m not on employer w2? Currently, I’m working for a medical institute as a programmer on non profit h1.
Report that freaking desi consultancy to USCIS and shoot them down! Please don't join fraudsters
Do amazon give chance for interview if I’m not on h1 or opt?
How is the consultant fake? Not sure how you concluded that?
There are only two types of Desi consultants, bad and evil. Do you only if you have no other alternative left to try.
Ask them for H1b exempt employers.
Desi consultant People Tech got fined for underpaying it’s H-1B employees. It’s a contractor for US governments (state federal etc). You can expect the same treatment if you take this job. https://qz.com/india/1390239/h-1b-visa-abuse-people-tech-group-guilty-of-underpaying-employees/
Make sure they don't alter your resume with ton of fake experience, later you will face problems. Also most of the Desi consultancies remove masters from your profile and show fake 2 years of experience instead. They do that so that they can get more money for your fake experience. Also there are no good desi consultancies
I've seen fresh grads marketed with 8 to 10 yrs work exp! Lol
Would you please share what firm submitted those grads with padded resumes? Thanks.
@op why not try TeKSystem/Modis/Kforce... I am tired of taking TeKSystem calls they have lot opportunities more plus they do H1B transfer and filing
I would avoid TEKSystems. They push a lot of expenses, like travel for interviews, onto the candidates! They also drink a lot during weekly beer parties and I’m not interested in interacting with frat boys. It’s all around not a form known for professionalism.
They will more over lay you off if they can’t find you a project in a month.
OP situation is he/she is about to get taken advantage of. It’s so sad to see the way the Desi firms treat people. Keeping gender gap and pay gap Alice and well they are .... *yoda voice
Really depends on your education, wage level... your question is too vague
Bachelors, Masters in cs and level 2
Level 2 is probably risky with a consulting firm
