H1B - Investing and being a co-founder of a foreign company

Would like to know possible issues if I do: 1) investment in a foreign company - seed funding 2) be part of founding team - cofounder title 3) work for this company during weekends - guiding/consulting 4) company may open office in US soon, but i will not be in its US entity’s payroll 5) The company will be based neither in US nor in my home country. I am on H1B working in US. Would like to know if any issues mainly from immigration pov. Do you think my current US company would object? Thanks for sharing any experiences and thoughts.

I think you can't do this while on a h1b

You can invest, but you cannot work for them in the US. This includes consulting.

Just don’t let anyone rat you out you’ll be fine.

You cannot do anything on H1B, you are slave of modern era...on a flip side, if you become illigal, you will be King of your will and you can do multiple business plus job !!

Who will give you a job if you are illegal?

You will get many jobs on which you can work on cash...with some business and cash job, you will need to wait for roughly 10 years and eventually some government will make you legal ... the best part about illegal is that you do not have to pay single dollar on tax because you do not even exist into the system..and once you are legal, you can start enjoying social security benefits which H1B and many other people are paying legally but on H1B, you do not have this chance on your lifetime ... That's our broken immigration system

Thanks for the responses here. Doesn’t H1B says you cannot work for another US employer while on H1B? If so, will there be issues if I work/consult for foreign company during weekends? Will there be issues even if I dont earn any direct salary?
