How does it matter if you take seriously or not
I don’t “take seriously”
Dude, you must be new. These things come and go every year. Relax, have some Bourbon. We're all in the same sinking ship for the next 2 decades 🥃
Totally agree... I have seen this happening from 2011. When first time bill was introduced. 😆😆 Just thought I should post this and enjoy comments 😜
Though it's backed by Kamala Harris this time who is a plausible 2020 Democrat Presidential candidate.
My concern is that this only makes things worse without some solution to the consulting shops spamming. The India queue is only long because of those body shop that fill the queue with 3rd rate people. If only the Indians capable of getting into good companies were in the queue it would actually be not so bad already. While the cap is unfair it's also incidentally protecting the system from the abusive practices by the body shops. I think it's better to fix that problem first and that this bill is actually a step backwards until then.
Yup. Politicians are just trying to show they want to do something about legal immigration. But their priority is illegal immigration. If this bill becomes law then it hurts talented people from small countries (population wise) and they wait forever. This is totally against diversity we need in engineering. (At least)
That 100+ year of wait time for Indians is an insult. Why give a f*ck for USofA? The startup scene in India is heating up. Why not move back?
It's not an insult. It's the result of a business strategy by Indian companies with the support of the Indian government. They set up a whole consulting industry as an intentional, government sponsored initiative with systems designed to pump out as many h1b/i140 combos as possible including many low quality feeder schools that got accredited by bribes, and a whole bunch of government incentives and other policies designed to expand these body shops. Before the the India queue was like China's, a couple years but not a big deal. It was after the Indian government cranked up this body shop industry from around 2007 that is really started getting bad. Indians could easily fix this themselves by outlawing this crap back in India but they don't want to. They voted for this bullshit and they are proud of it but they don't connect the dots to the greencard queue. Then they come here and whine that it's unfair. Pathological.
I agree that removing cap will spread the problem to other countries. But falsely blaming all the Indians is simply not cool.
