Hey guys. Hoping someone can give me some clarity on this. I am currently on H1B and I have not been back to India since 2014. So itβs been 8 years. My old h1b visa that is stamped in my passport expired in 2015. Now, I am in the process of booking an appointment in Chennai, India but the website is telling me that I am eligible for interview waiver. I am confused because I thought I should be in-eligible since my last h1b visa expired in 2015. I thought there was a rule that you would only be eligible for interview waiver(Dropbox) if your visa expired within the last 48 months. Would really appreciate if any of you have more clarity on how this works. Thanks #workvisa #h1b #visastamping #india
Now they provide waiver to everyone who had any visa in past. So you are good
I have the same concern.
Op - were you able to get the visa stamped with just the Dropbox? I do not see 48 month expiry rule at all in the waiver criteria questionnaire and it is showing me eligible for waiver although visa expired beyond that.
Ya got the visa stamped through Dropbox without any issue.
