Hi All, I just thought of sharing my experience going through the RFE process since some of the people I've talked to, on Blind have been extremely helpful and were a huge moral support for me through this process. My RFE was a speciality occupation one (beneficiary qualifications - how education relates to job duties..). My immigration attorneys are Fragomen. Throughout this process, you have a lot you can control, atleast was true in my case. They gave me a worksheet to fill my job duties, relevant courses and skills acquired. This was the main exhibit for my RFE response. If you get to fill this out, consider it as a great opportunity and make it as complex as possible. Below are my timelines.. Employer : A well known software giant headquartered in the bay area Qualification : Bachelors in CS, Masters in CS (from a top 10 US school) SOC and Wage Level : 15-1133 Wage level 4 Processing Center : California Initial application filed : August 2 RFE issued : August 13 Documents returned by me and manager : August 30 RFE response filed : September 6 Approval : September 12 Things moved a bit quick for me because I owned the completion of the worksheet and the only other document the attorneys required was the educational evaluation, which took about a week for them to get. Good luck to everyone who are waiting for their RFE to be filed or waiting for a response :) Edit : Since I was asked for the TC : 200K, YOE : 9 (I'll be working at their Austin location)
What school did you pursue your masters in Cs? Also you need to mention TC.
added TC in the main post. My masters was from Georgia Tech
OMS CS?
200k in Austin is 🔥 Congratulations!
Thank you :)
Thanks for the update
Congratulations
Congratulations. I am on the same boat and my attorneys suck
Why did you take 20 days to respond? Can that be reduced to 2-3 days or can’t do anything about it?
Is your bachelors transcript in any other language than English? Wondering the need for education eval.,
Probably he is a multilingual. Also mention your TC or GTFO.
Bachelors transcript was in English. I guess they wanted the eval done to be safe and show it's equivalent to a US bachelors degree in CS
