H1B petition timelines Apr 2020
I am starting this thread to track Apr 2020 visa timelines. BAL is currently dealing my h1 transfer petition to Amazon. After the petition is ready to file today they emailed me asking if I am starting remotely which I am and in that case they mentioned that they would have to file a new LCA with my home address also as a work location. What is the DoL processing times for new LCA( I know usual processing time is 7-10 business days) Did it change due to COVID-19? TC (140k base+ 77k bonus +55RSUs) YOE 5 #h1b #workvisa
Did you filed your H1B transfer in PP ? Currently the PP has been suspended due to COVID-19 until further notice . This will significantly affect processing data times for the transfer process.

No I haven’t filed my petition yet attorney prepared my petition and now they are re-doing the LCA part to include my home address also due to the COVID-19 situation.

Apr 20 but that’s not gonna happen, my HM is in touch with me and it might get pushed by a month and I am planning to join on receipt
I am planning to join on receipt too and initially was thinking to onboard virtually form my current state but I think I will relocate to Seattle now and onboard virtually from Seattle so that We don’t have to file another LCA and the petition.
Is it safe enough to join on receipt at this time ?
It’s a personal decision in my case I have CS background and I am okay to take the risk as I am a PR in Canada
Hi i am in similar boat. Amazon/BAL filed LCA today. I will start as remote employee too but the lawyer did not say anything about filing LCA with home address. Can you let me know once your LCA is approved? Let's keep each other posted
Reach out to the lawyer since they just filed it, they can file another one, will save you some time later.
I submitted my docs on March 31 but the lawyers still haven’t filed LCA. How much time does it take between submitting docs and lawyers filing LCA
Depends on the lawyers. But LCA prep shouldn't take more than a week and 7-10 days for the LCA to be certified
Thank you for that. Not sure why it’s taking them so long to file the LCA. Today’s it’s been 10 days since I provided all the docs. 🤦♂️
LCA submitted April 10th and not approved yet. BAL : Amazon.
When did you get an offer ? It’s been two weeks that BAL told me they’re preparing to post LCA in the work location but haven’t.
I submitted all the documents required to their portal March 31. So I t took them ten days to submit LCA. I was not asked about home address though

I uploaded my docs on Mar 4th 1st LCA - Filed on Mar 9th, Certified on Mar 17. Petition ready to file on Apr 1st. Refiled LCA with home address included on Apr 14
LCA took a week for me.
When was it filed ?
