Hi, I am traveling to Kenya and planning to get my H1B stamp in Kenya. My last stamping was in Ireland however, with recent stories of people getting stuck with administrative processing I am little cornered about it. Any thoughts on challenges or things I need to consider? Anyone have experience using that Nairobi US embassy? Note: Kenya is not my home country.
Dafuq are you doing there ?

I would expect a lot more scrutiny by the officers there because they are subjected to a lot more fraud. But maybe that's ok.
Maybe it will be a good experience since they have less h1-b filers there.
Yes that I also think it should fine but since it Kenya more concern about it
I have had my visa renewal in an African country. I was literally the only one there at the embassy. No wait times. In and out in 10 minutes and getting an appointment was a breeze. There are very few h1b's from Africa, so very few applications get rejected. Obviously you are not from the region so that's a different story. I don't think chances are higher based on the embassy but based on the applicant and company
Just imagine being stuck in a foreign country without a passport
Yes that the major concern.. it Kenya not any other country
Hope you are safe. Just saw there were attacks at Nairobi
Thanks for your message π
Yes saw that.. actually I am going there in June hope everything settle by then
