Looking at the dropbox processing time in India (5 weeks) and 80+ days of visa appointment wait in vancouver, I am thinking to travel to Tijuana, Mexico to get stamping. Me my wife and 1 year old kid will be travelling. The flights are 4 times expensive to Tijuna than San Diego. I see Tijuana is 1 hour drive from San Diego. Has anyone got their stamping in Tijuana? Is it safe to live in any hotel there for 5-7 days? Is it safe to drive from San Diego to Tijuana? #workvisa #h1b
Go to Ankara or El Alebrije and have a 🔥 time. Bunch of buchifresas
Somewhere I read that Mexico isn’t accepting applications for third country nationals (TCN). Please check on that.
You are correct. Non-Resident Applicants: Routine appointments for applicants not ordinarily resident in Mexico are not available at this time. Any applicant currently residing in the United States who seeks to extend their legal stay should contact U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services here . Additional information can be found here https://mx.usembassy.gov/visas/
No stamping for Indians is happening in Mexico any longer. Check the US consulate in Mexico's website.
Yes, I agree with above comments. You should check in both countries Mexico / Canada if they’re accepting visa applications for third country nationals. After covid they stopped for a while. Not sure what’s the current status. You can usually mail their consulate and get the confirmation. The SLA is around a week time.
You should try london. They accept TCNs

China CYBERATTACK on UK ? WTF
I have done it twice. Fly to San Diego. Take the metro train to the border. Train stops right on the border. Just walk across 10 steps and you will be in Tijuana. Stay at Hyatt Place hotel. Filter printing is walking distance from here. Take Uber to consulate. Only few miles. There is a shop that will keep your phone. Phone not allowed inside the consulate. Collect the passport the following day. Safe to drive. But you don’t need to. You can park at the border. I suggest just take the metro train to the border. And take an Uber on the other side. Tijuana is a normal city. Unless you keep looking for trouble in the middle of the night in some shady part. Don’t get manipulated by western propaganda. It’s a fine town. There is also a mall close to hyatt place hotel. I went there for dinner with other fellow Indians I met there who were there for stamping as well. There is a cinema in the mall. Kids will like it. There is a restaurant where Caesar salad was invested. You can go there as well.
Did you apply for Mexico visitor visa? I have canada visitor visa and heard they allow you to visit based on that. I assume the same uber app will work in mexico? Does the uber takes cash or the usa card attached to uber app works? How many days it took from finger print to passport collection? I assume 3 days? Do we need to carry mexican currency? where to convert usd ? What were the questions asked in interview aince it is not home country? What questions were asked on border on both sides of travel I will be travelling with 1 year old kid, Is the metro good ?
I had Canadian visa. Canadian visa is fine. Same Uber app will work. US card will work. I have used Uber in like 10+ countries without any problem. Day 1 finger printing Day 2 interview Day 3 passport collection Also depends on how you schedule fingerprinting and interview. No need to carry Mexican currency. Use your US card. Or ATM for cash. They didn’t ask anything about not a home country.
