I started a new job about a month ago and now have a dream offer (plus 3 times TC). I was thinking of saying I need to leave for personal family reasons and not mention anything about the new offer. Can my current company find out anything about my H1B transfer?
No. Your employer wouldn't know about the transfer until you tell them. When I left my last job, Fraggomen was the attorney at both my old and new company and they still didn't know about the transfer. There are laws to prevent this from happening.
But you can't be employed at both companies full time on h1. You can't be on. Payroll on both.
You can be as long as you have valid i797 from each of them.
I don't expect to be employed full time at both... Once I have my new transfer approved, I'll move
Plus 3 times TC... That's hugee!!! Congratulations
Very bigly
Thanks! It's just huge coz Qualcomm never paid well so it becomes a big increase relatively! :D
No, your current employer can't know about it.
Just be honest and tell them about your new offer. I have done that. Left in 2 months. It will be awkward for exactly 2 mins and then people will move on.

Is your transfer complete?? I recently heard of a case where transfer was denied but the guy had already made the move based on the receipt. He was moving between two well known firms.
Yes, the transfer is complete and I have my new i797 in hand. To avoid the risk, I will not be moving out of this current job till the transfer is approved at the new company.
