H1b job change
Hey you folks on H1b... how are you going about job change while premium processing is suspended? Are you joining on receipt or waiting for PP to be restarted?
Joining on receipt.
Joined on receipt, approval came later
How long (days) did it take from receipt to approval?

Joined even before the receipt came
Is it legal?
It is legal as long has you have evidence showing the h1-b petition is filed (i.e. Fedex delivery notice)
How long does the receipt take?
2 weeks
Does it take 2 weeks on premium processing as well? Thanks
If you are already working on H1 you don't even need to wait for receipt to come. You can join the day when they send the packet to USCIS
What happens if the petition is denied eventually? Will you have to go back to previous employer?
Well i had the same concern. Lawyers told me it can get rejected even when you join on receipt. Because receipt is merely telling you that USCIS has received documents. But in case of petition rejection they said usually that never happens
Will companies start the GC process on H-1B receipt ?
Many are joining on receipt, so I'm also thinking of the same
