when H1B premium processing 15 days timeline starts? from the day of filing or the day case received and receipt generated ?
Received. Now a days a RFE is default because they want to buy some time. So be prepared for it. I just got an RFE for a renewal with the same company I’ve been working for 9 years. They wanted me to prove that I work there - so sending photos of my desk, surrounding, building and my badge.
Not necessarily. Mine got approved recently without RFE.
Congratulations but, chances for RFE are high these days. The volume is super high and they(uscis) want to buy more time. So they are issuing RFE left and right at a higher rate.
The later... after uscis receives your paper work
Starts when they receive the package and acknowledge.
Received. Last week Friday my new company sent doc. Monday us is received. Got receipt on Tuesday. H1B approved on Wednesday. Just 2 days.
Which center?
California
I got a RFE for my visa transfer, it looks very common these days if you file it on Premium.
Its confusing bcuz lawyers usually say 15 day clock starts when they submit the petition - but thats wrong. 15 day clock starts when USCIS receives it.
When you get the receipt
file on 1/6... got receipt on 1/17
15 days from the receipt
